Pet resume for renters
Your dog is a great tenant. Show the landlord.
Answer a few friendly questions about your dog and we turn them into a polished pet resume for your rental application: health records, training, references, and a personal note, in one PDF a landlord can read in two minutes.

Why it helps
Pet-friendly doesn't mean worry-free
Even landlords who allow dogs want to know what they're agreeing to. Most will ask the same handful of questions. A Pawlease pet resume answers all of them up front, in the order a property manager reads them.
- Is the dog vaccinated and licensed?Health record
- How big is it, and what breed?Profile
- Will it bark or damage the unit?Temperament
- Has it lived in a rental before?References
- Who takes care of it during the day?Care plan
- Is there liability insurance?Care plan

Questions
Good to know
What is a pet resume?
A pet resume is a short document that introduces your dog to a landlord or property manager: health and vaccinations, training, temperament, references, a care plan and a note from you. Pawlease turns your answers into a two-page pet resume PDF you can attach to a rental application.
Is this a pet resume template?
It's quicker than a template. Instead of filling in blanks in a document, you answer plain questions and Pawlease lays out the pet resume for you, with your photo, a health table, temperament ratings and references, ready to download as a PDF.
Can I include a pet reference letter?
Yes. Add a previous landlord, trainer, daycare or neighbor as a reference, with a short quote from them. Only include a quote they actually said or agreed to. With the Moving season plan you can also attach vet records as an appendix.
Will this get my application approved?
No tool can promise that. Landlords decide based on their own policies, insurance, building rules and local law. Pawlease helps you present your dog clearly and professionally, which makes it easier for a landlord to say yes.
Is this legal advice?
No. Pawlease is a document-preparation tool, not a law firm. If you have questions about your lease, pet deposits, breed restrictions, or assistance-animal rights, talk to a qualified attorney or your local tenant resource center.
Do you check the information I enter?
No. You're responsible for making sure everything is accurate. We recommend attaching your vet records so the landlord can confirm vaccinations.
Is this for service or emotional support animals?
Assistance animals are covered by different rules, and landlords usually can't treat them as pets. Pawlease is designed for pets. If your dog is an assistance animal, a pet application may not be the right document.
Can I use it for a cat?
Right now we're built for dogs, since that's where landlords ask the most questions. Cats are on the way.
